The Synod Assembly is the highest legislative authority of the Slovak Zion Synod. Towards the close of spring and the opening of summer each year, the synod assembly convenes to uplift and celebrate ministries and address the issues facing the leaders, congregations, and agencies within the synod. We gather together for business, but also for worship, spiritual enrichment, engagement in inter-congregational fellowship, and many more opportunities with each year.

Information on each assembly, registration and details, news and media, and more are all available from this page.

Highlights:
Our synod's 21st assembly concluded at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Union, NJ on June 27th, in the late afternoon. This assembly was fruitful in deep theological engagement and education, in addition to the execution of scheduled business. We rolled out the synod's 2009 theme, shown as our tagline, "God's Work; Our Hands: Branches of the True Vine." This theme was inspired by ELCA's tagline and built upon it, adding that it is not only our hands, doing God's work, but by doing God's work, it is God's hands working through us! Several elections have been conducted, and we warmly welcome new Synod Council Clergy, a new youth representative, and new treasurer aboard our executive team! Resources were available on behalf of the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Roanoke College, The Revolution Church, and our own International Relations Committee. Special enrichment sessions were held, one on Book of Faith, and another led by the infamous podcaster, Terry Bruce of JT Indie! (enrichment sessions available on Media page) Shortly after the assembly closing, the 2010 Assembly was announced during a special presentation by Bishop Kucharek and Joshua Drobena. Gatherings were led by the Rev. David L. Jones.
